Why White Pine Mountain?
White Pine Mountain is both a place and a perspective.
It rises behind our family home at the north end of Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. I have climbed it many times. I have sat there in every season. It is where I go when I need to think clearly.
Over the years I have come to believe that flourishing and good leadership both require perspective. We need the ability to step back from the noise, the urgency, and the complexity of life and see things in their fuller context. Often the path to clarity runs through complexity, and it is only by pausing that we begin to see what truly matters.
Much of my writing and reflection has taken shape while sitting on that mountain. In silence and in nature, something settles. What feels fragmented begins to come together. Questions become clearer. Priorities reorder themselves.
White Pine Mountain has become a symbol for that process in my life. It represents reflection, perspective, and the quiet work of making sense of things, making the unconscious, conscious.
That is why I chose it as the name for my brand. My purpose and promise.
